Our Story
About Lunara
Footwear designed to move between seasons and closets without losing its shape, or its value.
Built From a Closet Full of Almosts
It started with a return pile. Every pair of shoes I owned was either fast-fashion flimsy after one wet commute, or a department-store markup on leather that cost the retailer a fraction of what I paid. There was nothing in between β nothing built to last that didn't also cost a designer premium for a name on the box.
So we started calling the same ateliers in Portugal and northern Italy that supply luxury houses, and asked what it would take to sell direct. It turned out to be full-grain leather, Blake-stitched soles that can be resoled instead of replaced, and a sizing process built from actual return data instead of a single sample fit. We cut the wholesale layer, not the construction.
We still test every new style ourselves before it ships, on real feet, across widths. If a size runs narrow or a strap rubs, we hear about it before you do.

How We Started
Direct From the Atelier
We work with the same family-run tanneries as luxury houses and skip the wholesale markup.
Fit-Tested, Not Guessed
Every silhouette is sized using real return data across widths before it's added to the line.
Built to Be Repaired
Resoleable construction and a repair program mean your pair outlasts the trend it started with.
